Overcoming Asthma

Asthma is a clinical syndrome of chronic airway inflammation characterized by recurrent, reversible, airway obstruction. Airway inflammation also leads to airway hyperreactivity, which causes airways to narrow in response to various stimuli. As is the case with other allergic conditions, such as eczema (atopic dermititis), hayfever (allergic rhinitis) and food allergies, the prevalence of asthma is on the rise. Symptoms of asthma develop as a result of the narrowing and inflammation of the airways.

Asthma Related Symptoms and Signs

  • Wheezing

  • Shortness Of Breath

  • Cough

In many cases, inhalers are prescribed to alleviate the symptoms of asthma. Inhaled steroids reduce inflammation in the lungs, allowing you to breathe better. In some cases, they also reduce the production of mucus. There is evidence that inhaled steroids can have worrying side-effects especially if used long-term. Studies have shown that inhaled steroids can stunt growth in children. If you’re taking a high dose or have used inhaled steroids for a long time, you may experience weight-gain due to an increase in appetite. Those who take inhaled steroids for long-term management have an increased risk of developing pneumonia. At Richmond Natural Healing, our approach is not to treat the symptoms of asthma, but instead, to treat the cause of the asthma. This encompasses reduction of allergic reactions to a variety of potential allergens as well as reducing hyper-reactive lung histamine responses. Normally, we are able to successfully treat asthma within 3 to 6 non-invasive, painless Laser Meridian Imprinting sessions. If you are ready to breathe normally again, give us a call!
